The public is invited to attend an Earth Day Celebration at the Living Prairie Museum, 2795 Ness Avenue on Sunday, April 22, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to explore the connection between Healthy People and a Healthy Planet. This Earth Day celebration is being held in conjunction with the Living Prairie Museumís Crocus Days and is hosted by the Manitoba Earth Day Planning Committee (MEDPC). WINNIPEG - April 19, 2007- The public is invited to attend an Earth Day Celebration at the Living Prairie Museum, 2795 Ness Avenue on Sunday, April 22, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to explore the connection between Healthy People and a Healthy Planet. Admission is free and all are welcome!

Challenge yourself to new ideas and actionsÖ taste the goodness of locally-grown, organic food, relax and feel great with prairie walks and tai chi workshops, discover the beauty and benefits of native plants and natural gardening, create alternatives to toxic cleaners and pesticides, compare natural and conventional body products, and celebrate nature with art projects facilitated by the Living Prairie Museumís Artist-in-Residence.

See what Manitoba students have to say about Healthy People / Healthy Planet with Eco-Challenge displays. Enter your name for a chance to win prizes. Purchase prairie crocus plants for your garden (Manitobaís provincial flower). Be one of the first 50 people to arrive in a sustainable way and receive a free tree!

This Earth Day celebration is being held in conjunction with the Living Prairie Museumís Crocus Days and is hosted by the Manitoba Earth Day Planning Committee (MEDPC).
