Winnipeg Police Board

Police Service Reporting

Manitoba’s Police Services Act requires all police boards to “ensure that police services are delivered in a manner consistent with community needs, values, and expectations.”  To do this, the Winnipeg Police Board receives information from the Winnipeg Police Service that allows it to make informed decisions about the oversight and strategic direction of the police service.

The Board meets in public on a regular basis.  Reports from the Winnipeg Police Service that are reviewed by the Board are included on meeting agendas and published in the Board’s meeting minutes.  These include, for example, quarterly financial reports and monthly metrics on police performance.  To view these reports, visit the Board’s page in the City of Winnipeg’s Decision Making Information System to see agendas for upcoming Board meetings or minutes from previous Board meetings.
