Records Management Services Records play a vital role in ensuring that the City is able to fulfill its obligations under the Charter and remain accountable to the public. Administrative Directive No. AD-006 states: “Employees at all levels of the Administration have responsibilities as stewards of information.” According to the Directive, City of Winnipeg employees will “create, manage and dispose of records according to established policies/schedules.”

Records Management is responsible for overseeing the City of Winnipeg’s records management programs and providing advice, training and other resources to City employees who are involved in records management. We also provide storage space for the records of City departments.
