Lost & Found Pets
DOGS: If you have lost your dog:
- Search your neighbourhood immediately
- Come down in person to the Animal Services Agency (1057 Logan Avenue) to see if we have your dog. New dogs are brought into our facility daily so visit regularly.
- In the unfortunate event your dog has been killed on a roadway and picked up by the City of Winnipeg, it would be taken to the Winnipeg Humane Society at 45 Hurst Way. Call the Winnipeg Humane Society at 982-2025 to inquire. Winnipeg Humane Society Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Sunday 12:00 noon -5:00 p.m
- Call the Winnipeg Humane Society’s Lost and Found line at 982-2025
- If you have lost your dog in Charleswood, Tuxedo or surrounding area, it is suggested that you contact the Charleswood/Tuxedo Pound at 895-0617.
- Contact the local veterinarians in your area especially the emergency clinics that are open 24 hours.
- Put an ad in the local newspaper under Lost and Found and make up poster with your dog’s photo on them and post them in the neighborhood and by any local schools.
- Don’t give up. Sometimes dogs are found months later.
CATS: If you have lost your cat:
- Search your neighbourhood immediately
- Call the Winnipeg Humane Society’s Lost and Found line at 982-2025
- Call other animal rescue shelters in the City of Winnipeg
- Contact the local veterinarians in your area especially the emergency clinics that are open 24 hours.

DOGS: If you have found a dog, call Animal Services Agency at 311 to report it. An Animal Services Agency Officer will be dispatched to pick up the dog.
CATS: If you have found a cat, contact the Winnipeg Humane Society at 982-2025.
Miscellaneous Lost Pets
The Animal Services Agency does, on occasion, impound animals other than dogs. Contact the Animal Services Agency at 311.
