High call volumes expected at 311 this week due to Leisure Guide registration

Citizens are encouraged to use email, web to request other City services

WINNIPEG, MB - August 27, 2012 - Due to registration for fall Leisure Guide programming beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, August 28 and continuing Wednesday, August 29, higher than normal call volumes are expected at 311 this week.

The City will have a full complement of 311 customer service representatives in place to serve citizens but in order to help minimize wait times for callers, residents are encouraged to use other available methods of contacting 311 when looking for information on City services other than Leisure Guide programming, including:

  • Emailing 311@winnipeg.ca for non-emergent requests for information or services other than Leisure Guide registration, and
  • Using 311 Online

311 call volumes from Leisure Guide registration are expected to begin to subside as of Thursday, August 30.
