Winnipeg prepares for turn as host City for 103rd Grey Cup in 2015

Winnipeg, MB - Mayor Brian Bowman kicks off his commitment to promote Winnipeg to the nation this weekend as he attends the 102nd Grey Cup in Vancouver, British Columbia.

“As Winnipeg is the next Grey Cup host city, I am taking this opportunity to reach out to the organizers, volunteers and sponsors to better understand how our local economy can benefit from the same opportunity in 2015, that is expected to inject approximately $35M dollars of investment into Vancouver’s local economy as the festival hosts this year,” said Mayor Brian Bowman. “I want to thank the CFL for the ticket to attend the event and for this opportunity to actively work on Winnipeg’s economic opportunities for 2015 during one of this year’s most exciting national events.”
