Winnipeg, MB - Today, members of the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), Local 1505, representing Winnipeg Transit Drivers and Maintenance Workers, voted to reject an Offer of Settlement between the City of Winnipeg and ATU's negotiating committee.
The City will continue to work with ATU to deal with outstanding issues and achieve a settlement as soon as possible. The parties have scheduled further negotiations.
Transit officials emphasize that there is presently no indication from the union that job action is imminent.
