Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeg Public Library is seeking applications for the 2018-2019 edition of its Writer-in-Residence Program.
Winnipeg Public Library’s Writer-in-Residence program allows talented and award-winning authors to provide one-on-one mentorship and public workshops to hundreds of emerging writers of all genres.
During their term, the Writer-in-Residence works with dozens of emerging Manitoba writers by email and phone, as well as through in-person consultations and workshops. The Writer-in-Residence also hosts public workshops and programs in Winnipeg to share their special expertise in any genre from songwriting to memoirs to classical poetic forms. The residency also includes time to work on a personal writing project.
The Writer-in-Residence term runs October 1, 2018 until April 30, 2019. Deadline for applications is Monday, June 11, 2018.
