Drugs & Stolen Property – Arrest: C22-192487

On August 24, 2022, at approximately 5:45 a.m., West District officers were patrolling the River Heights neighbourhood when they observed two individuals toting around four bicycles near Corydon Avenue and Oxford Street.

Officers identified the individuals and established that one of them had an outstanding warrant, and placed them under arrest.

During the arrest and subsequent investigation, officers seized drugs, weapons and stolen cheques and identity documents:

- 17.5 grams of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $900)
- bear spray
- knife
- voltage stun (“taser-style”) flashlight
- identity documents
- cheques

The owners of the bicycles were not established.

A 43-year-old male, Ian Lagrosas GALEON of Winnipeg, was charged with drug, stolen property and breach-related offences.

A 32-year-old female, Whitney Larissa BUNN of Winnipeg, was charged with drug and weapons offences as well as a Warrant for Failing to Attend Court.

Both were detained in custody.
