Robbery Arrest

On January 14th, 2006 at 1:45 a.m., a male entered a convenience store in the 700 block of Mountain Avenue and demanded money. The male fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

While investigating the robbery, Uniform Patrol members from Division 13 of the Winnipeg Police Service arrested a male for the robbery. Further investigation revealed that this male was responsible for a number of other recent robberies in the area.

Thirty-four year old Gary Lee CARDINAL has been charged with Robbery X 2, Robbery with a Weapon X 2, Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Recognizance and Breach of Probation X 2.

CARDINAL has been detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.

 

Commercial Robbery

On January 15th, 2006 at 10:15 p.m., a male and a female armed with a knife entered a convenience store in the 80 block of Sherbrook Street and attempted to stab the clerk.

The clerk was able to evade the suspects and was not injured. The suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of merchandise. 

The male suspect is described as 5’8” tall, of medium build wearing a dark toque.

The female suspect is described as 5’8”tall, of slim build, having a bruised left eye and wearing a dark jacket and dark toque.

Commercial Robbery

On January 15th, 2006 at 5:35 a.m., two males entered a convenience store in the 700 block of Corydon Avenue armed with a hammer and demanded money. The males obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes and fled the store.

The first suspect is described as male, 5’7” tall, approximately 180 pounds with a muscular build, wearing a black balaclava, blue Nike sweat suit, black gloves and boots.

The second suspect is described as male, 5’10” tall, approximately 200 pounds with a muscular build, wearing a black balaclava, dark blue hoodie, black jeans and brown leather gloves.

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting anyone having information in relation to this incident contact police at 204-986-6222 or Crime Stoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).

 

Commercial Robbery

This morning, January 16th, 2006 at 9:15 a.m., a male armed with a handgun entered a rental store in the 900 block of McPhillips Street and demanded money. The male received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store. No one was injured as a result of the robbery.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, clean-shaven in his early twenties, 5’10”-6’ tall with a slim build, wearing a black open-faced style balaclava, dark pants, black bomber-style jacket, white running shoes.
