Robbery

On January 14th, shortly before 1:30 a.m. a 22 year old female was walking in the area of Osborne Street and Roslyn Road when she was approached by three females. One of the suspects punched the victim in the face while the other two suspects knocked her to the ground and stole her purse. The victim received minor injuries.

As well on November 11th, 2005, at approximately 1:00 a.m. it is believed that the same three females may be responsible for assaulting a male in the 100 block of Osborne Street. One suspect produced a knife and demanded the victim's wallet and cellular phone which he produced. All three females then fled the area.

The above suspect is described as female, aboriginal in appearance, 17-18 years of age, dirty blonde straight hair, chubby face, large nose, 5'6”, 150 -160 lbs. wearing a black nylon jacket and black toque.

The Winnipeg Police Service is asking anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect to contact the District 6 Crime Unit at 204-986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

 

Internet Luring

Between October 14th and November 27th, 2005, a 42 year old male contacted a 12 year old female via an internet chat room. During these dates it is alleged that this male attempted to entice the 12 year old female to attend his residence on numerous occasions.

James Glenn HORECZY, 42 years of age of Winnipeg has been charged with Juvenile Prostitution, Invitation to Sexual Touching and Internet Luring.

The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting parents speak with their children regarding internet chat room security and contact the Child Abuse Unit at 204-986-6378 if anyone has been in contact with “getjiggywithjim”, “Unlucky Jim” or “Lucky Jim”.

 

Robbery Arrest

On January 27th, the Winnipeg Police Service released information regarding a male wanted in regards to a robbery that had occurred in the 100 block of Alfred Avenue.

Vernon George Hamilton, 22 years of age of Winnipeg has been arrested and has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Robbery with Weapon, and Break, Enter a Dwelling House with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence.
