As a Technologist II, you will be tasked with providing engineering and technical support to the Public Works Department. In this fast paced and dynamic environment you will work with other Technologists both in team environment and independently in the planning, design and execution of the Public Works activities.
As the Technologist 2 you will:
-Provide survey and design support
-Coordinate and inspect on street infrastructure renewal projects
-Provide contract administration on Public Works projects
-Prepare AutoCAD drawings for GIS and construction projects
-Assist with emergency operations; flood, snow clearing
Your experience includes:
-Significant relevant experience in the five essential areas of the function; drafting (CAD), construction inspection, engineering design, survey and contract administration.
-Five (5) years' experience in an engineering sector within a related field.
-Graduate in Technology from a recognized school of technology and eligible for membership in CTTAM (Certified Technicians & Technologists Association of Manitoba) as a Certified Municipal Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or Certified Applied Science Technologist (A.C.T.). Plus several other courses relevant to the position such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, report writing, dealing with the public, contract administration, etc., would be an asset.
-Must possess a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver┐s License.
-Must be prepared to work weekends and evenings as required.

The salary range for this position is $2,107.90 - $2,479.73 bi-weekly.
