Sunday/Holiday Bike Routes
The City’s 10 Open Streets routes are no longer in effect.
The four regular Sunday/Holiday Bicycle Routes will resume on Sundays and holidays only starting Sunday, September 13 until Monday, October 12 at the following locations.
- Lyndale Drive – Cromwell Street to Gauvin Street
- Scotia Street – Anderson Avenue (at St. Cross Street) to Armstrong Avenue
- Wellington Crescent – Academy Road (at Wellington Crescent) to Guelph Street
- Wolseley Avenue – Raglan Road to Maryland Street
Currently, the City of Winnipeg Traffic By-Law defines a Sunday/Holiday Bicycle Route as limiting motor vehicle traffic to one block from the Sunday before Victoria Day (May long weekend) to Thanksgiving weekend from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.
The online survey about Open Streets is now closed.
City Council has approved the use of Open Streets until September 7, 2020, and directed the Public Service to engage the community regarding the potential future implementation of Open Streets and report back at the November 3, 2020 meeting of the Standing Policy Committee on Infrastructure Renewal and Public Works.
