Parking restrictions

Avoid a ticket and tow
You can now find out when street cleaning will be happening on your residential street by using the Know Your Zone app. Download the app on your mobile device for free at the Apple App Store or Google Play app store.

Once the app is updated to the current version, add your address to your favourites and you’ll receive spring cleanup alerts approximately 24-hours in advance of planned cleanup operations on your street.

You can also follow the progress of our spring cleanup activities by viewing our interactive residential streets cleanup status map.

Temporary No Parking signs may be placed on some streets to restrict parking when crews will be working.

Please note that not all streets require spring cleanup signage. The City only posts signs on streets where parked vehicles present a problem to street cleaning.

Vehicles parked in violation may be ticketed and towed to the towing company's compound. The cost of a parking ticket is $150.00 ($112.50 if paid within 14 days), and the cost of a tow is $120.23.

We will put up no-parking signage at least 24 hours in advance. Parked cars must be moved by the time the restrictions begin. Any cars parked after the signs are posted will be ticketed and towed to a compound at the vehicle owner's expense.
