Brookside Cemetery closed from 4:30 p.m., Thursday, June 13 to Friday, June 14, 2013 at 7:30 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Citizens are advised that Brookside Cemetery will be closed at 4:30 p.m., today, Thursday, June 13 and will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013. The temporary closure is due to work being done on the cemetery grounds.

Railway crossing closure on Holden Street between Blair Street and Brussels Street

Monday, June 17 at 7:00 a.m. to Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 7:00 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB - The public is advised that Holden Street will be completely closed to northbound and southbound traffic between Blair Street and Brussels Street at 7:00 a.m. on Monday June 17, for a railway crossing reconstruction project.

Holden Street will reopen at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20.

Motorists are reminded to allow additional travel time and to use alternative routes in the area to get to their destination.

Winnipeg, MB - Beat the heat and enjoy the summer weather in Winnipeg by visiting one of the City's wading pools, spray pads and outdoor pools.

Outdoor Pools
Kildonan Park Outdoor Pool opens June 14 for the Summer 2013 season. All other City of Winnipeg outdoor pools open June 28. All ten outdoor pools operate seven days a week, weather permitting, until September 2.

Wading Pools
16 of the City’s wading pools will open on Monday, July 1 for the season�"just in time for some Canada Day fun! The remaining locations will open July 2, according to their operating schedules. Operating hours vary by wading pool, however most are open 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Weather permitting, the following 16 wading pools will be open on Monday, July 1:

Brock Cordova Park Norquay Community Centre
Bronx Park Community Centre Northwood Community Centre
Central Park Pritchard Park
Dakota Park Transcona Centennial
J H Bruns Park Vimy Ridge Memorial Park

Spray Pads
For a different kind of water fun, check out one of the City’s spray pads. Spray pads are open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with Vimy Ridge Memorial Park open 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Spray pads operate June 1 through September 2 at the following locations:

Central Park (opens July 1) St. Norbert
Fort Rouge Shaughnessy
Lindenwoods Transcona Centennial (opens July 1)
Provencher Park Vimy Ridge (opens June 14)
River East
River Heights
