Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service reminds residents of rules surrounding open fires
April 30, 2018 - Due to dry weather conditions in the Winnipeg area which increase the risk of dangerous fires, such as grass, brush and wildfires, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) reminds all residents that all open-air fires are temporarily prohibited.

Temporary ban on open-air burn permits in effect
April 29, 2018 - Due to low ground moisture and high winds in the city, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is placing a temporary ban on issuing open-air burn permits in order to prevent the accidental spread of fire, as per The City of Winnipeg - Fire Prevention By-Law No. 150/2004. This ban will be lifted as soon as environmental conditions improve.

Winnipeg Whiteout Street Party Street Closure and Transit Reroute Round 2 – Game 3
