Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Logan Avenue

Released: 9:00 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – At 4:46 p.m. on December 1, 2019, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of fire in a two-storey duplex in the 1100 block of Logan Avenue. Upon arrival on scene, crews encountered heavy smoke and launched an interior, offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 5:09 p.m. The residence suffered moderate smoke, fire and water damage.

No occupants were in the residence at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported. Crews located and brought five dogs to safety. Winnipeg Animal Services attended the scene to provide care for the animals.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
