The Winnipeg Police Board (Board) which provides civilian governance and oversight of the Winnipeg Police Service (Service) approved and adopted a new Strategic Plan (Plan) at the Board’s regular public meeting on March 6, 2020.  The Plan will guide the organization over the next five years setting the goals, directions and measures for the Service to meet between 2020 and 2024.  The Plan is updated annually and reported on through quarterly reports from the Service.

The Board is committed to ensure the strategic plan reflects the needs and values of citizens and offers opportunities to share input and concerns with the Board through public consultations, presentations, website surveys and written submissions.

The Board is open to public engagement activities to share the mandate of the Board and welcomes invitations to meet with community groups.
