Personal Security Protection
The Municipal Councils and School Boards Elections Act allows a person to apply to have their name and address obscured or omitted from the Voters List to protect their personal security. Applications must be submitted to the Senior Election Official.
A person whose name has been obscured is given a Personal Security Certificate and identification number. The identification number for a person with a personal Security Certificate appears at the end of the Voters List.
Anyone who has applied for Personal Security Protection can only vote by Sealed Envelope Ballot.
