Proof of Immunization
Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination by providing a Government of Manitoba issued QR code and photo identification or providing proof of an exemption from the COVID-19 vaccination approved by the Government of Manitoba.

Aquatic Instructor & Instructor Guard
Are you interested in providing safe and enjoyable aquatic services at the City of Winnipeg's many pool facilities? Join the wave of the future—train to become a City of Winnipeg Aquatic Instructor or Instructor Guard!
Aquatic Instructor
Aquatic Instructors teach swimming lessons, while maintaining a safe environment for pool patrons.
Instructor Guard
Instructor Guards lifeguard during public swim and aquatic programming, and teach swimming lessons and leadership programs.
We offer all of the courses you need to join our team. Courses can be found by visiting winnipeg.ca/leisureonline (in the “Leadership Development” category).
If you are 16 years of age and have obtained all of the required qualifications, you can apply for an Aquatic Instructor or Instructor Guard position. Our 16 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week operation has great opportunities for part-time employees.

Are you interested in leading recreation programs such as those offered in the City of Winnipeg’s Leisure Guide? Do you have an idea for a new program? We’re always looking for skilled individuals to teach and lead a variety of English and French recreation programs.

After you fill out the application form, please save it to your computer. The completed form can then be submitted by email, as per the instructions below.

Your resume should include your contact information and outline your skills or the qualifications you have to lead programs or activities.
