Open House regarding Panet Road / Molson Street twinning project

Winnipeg, MB - The public is invited to an Open House about the Panet Road / Molson Street twinning project to review the proposed construction and the preliminary design of future improvements.

When: Wednesday, April 24, 2013, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: John de Graff Elementary School, 1020 Louelda Street

The $7.4 million project, approved as part of the 2013 Capital Budget, includes the reconstruction of Panet Road and Molson Street between Munroe Avenue and Concordia Avenue as a four lane divided urban roadway.

The project will include:

  • Bike lanes in both directions and sidewalks on both sides;
  • Separate left-turn lanes and right-turn cut-offs added at the Concordia intersection
  • Land drainage sewers to replace ditch drainage;
  • Relocation/removal of wood pole lines;
  • Trees and landscaping;
  • Active Transportation improvements.

Construction is set to begin in the summer of 2013 and is scheduled for completion in 2014.
