Public invited to Open House regarding Polo Park area infrastructure improvements

Winnipeg, MB - The public is invited to an Open House to review the preliminary project plan and information about infrastructure improvements planned for the Polo Park area.

When:
Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where:
Canad Inns Polo Park, 1405 St. Matthews Avenue

What:
Drop-in format

The project, funded by the City of Winnipeg and Province of Manitoba, includes:

  • extending and widening St. Matthews Avenue from Route 90 to Empress Street
  • improvements to St. James Street from Maroons Road to Ellice Avenue
  • intersection improvements at Ellice Avenue/St. James Street
  • sidewalk improvements
  • additions and improvements to the existing land drainage system
  • connections to existing and future Active Transportation corridors

Construction is to begin in 2014 and scheduled for completion in 2015.
