Winnipeg, MB - The public is invited to an Open House to review the preliminary project plan and information about infrastructure improvements planned for the Polo Park area.

The project, funded by the City of Winnipeg and Province of Manitoba, includes:
- extending and widening St. Matthews Avenue from Route 90 to Empress Street
- improvements to St. James Street from Maroons Road to Ellice Avenue
- intersection improvements at Ellice Avenue/St. James Street
- sidewalk improvements
- additions and improvements to the existing land drainage system
- connections to existing and future Active Transportation corridors
Construction is to begin in 2014 and scheduled for completion in 2015.
