Elmwood Kildonans Pool remains closed; Kildonan Park Pool opening delayed

Winnipeg, MB - Citizens are advised that as a result of the extensive damage caused by the fire at Elmwood Kildonans Pool, the pool is expected to remain closed until December, 2014.

Swim program participants registered in the interrupted Spring 2014 and those in Summer 2014 sessions will be contacted.

Pass holders are encouraged to continue to use their pass to access other City of Winnipeg facilities. Pass holders who have suspended their passes will be contacted.

In addition, the opening of Kildonan Park Outdoor Pool has been delayed due to mechanical repairs (pool was to open Monday, June 16). Affected rental groups have been contacted by staff and, where possible, have been accommodated at other locations.
