Freedom of the City parade marches around City Hall

Winnipeg, MB - On Friday, June 27, two hundred soldiers will march in the Second Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry's Freedom of the City of Winnipeg parade. The parade will begin at 9:45 a.m. at City Hall.

The first part of the parade will begin on Adelaide Street and continue on Elgin Avenue, Princess Street, James Avenue and Main Street. A ceremony will then be conducted at the City Hall Courtyard, to which members of the public are invited. From there, the parade will march to King Street, William Avenue, Main Street, Portage Avenue, Notre Dame Avenue, Adelaide Street, and will conclude at Elgin Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow for extra travel time while traveling through this area on Friday, June 27 between 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
