Winnipeg, MB - To mark National Health and Fitness Day, the City of Winnipeg will be providing free access to city-run aquatic and recreation facilities on Saturday, June 6 during scheduled public use times.
National Health and Fitness Day provides an opportunity for municipalities and all citizens to mark the day with local events to celebrate and promote the use of local health, recreational, sports and fitness facilities.
“We’re thrilled to take part in National Health and Fitness Day and want to encourage all Winnipeggers to enjoy use of our facilities on June 6,” says Mayor Brian Bowman. “The City of Winnipeg has a long tradition of supporting a healthy and active community.”
