Public invited to attend Transcona Cemetery Improvement Strategy open house

Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeggers are invited to attend an open house for the Transcona Cemetery Improvement Strategy. The Transcona Cemetery is an important part of Winnipeg’s history and continues to serve the community. A draft improvement strategy has been developed to ensure the cemetery continues to meet the needs of the community. The draft improvement strategy addresses:

  1. Land drainage issues in the early interment sections;
  2. Renovation of the chapel to return it to use; and,
  3. Plans for future cemetery expansion.

Winnipeggers will have an opportunity to review the proposed improvements and share their feedback with the project team.
