Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Update: Stella Avenue Fire

Winnipeg, MB – At 10:08 p.m. on June 11, 2019, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to multiple 911 reports of a fire in a vacant one-and-a-half storey house in the 600 block of Stella Avenue. Once on scene crews encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure and launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 10:39 p.m. The house sustained significant fire, smoke and water damage.

Crews completed a search of the structure and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
