Winnipeg, MB – At 9:52 p.m. on September 15, 2020, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a two-and-a-half-storey, four-plex building in the 300 block of College Avenue.
When WFPS crews arrived on scene, they encountered smoke inside the structure and launched an offensive attack. The fire was contained to a single suite and was declared under control at 10:19 p.m.
All occupants of the building self-evacuated prior to the arrival of crews. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and damage estimates are not available at this time.
At 11:15 p.m. on September 15, WFPS crews responded to reports of a fire in a five-storey mixed-use building in the first block of Albert Street.
Upon arrival on scene crews launched an offensive attack to extinguish the fire and ventilate smoke from the building.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and damage estimates are not available at this time.
