Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Langside Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 4:08 p.m. on October 27, 2020, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a two-and-a-half-storey house in the 0-100 block of Langside Street.

When crews arrived, they encountered smoke coming from the structure and launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 4:42 p.m.

Reports indicated the possibility of occupants trapped inside the house. A search was conducted and crews located one individual. They were extricated from the house and assessed and treated by on-scene paramedics before being transported to hospital in critical condition.
