Winnipeg, MB – At 6:51 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey townhouse complex under construction on Prymak Place.
Upon arrival on scene, crews encountered smoke coming from the structure. An offensive attack was launched; however, due to deteriorating conditions, crews were forced to exit the structure and transition to a defensive attack. Once conditions improved they were able to re-enter the structure. The fire was contained to the suite of origin, and declared under control at 7:33 p.m.
Crews completed a search of the building and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no damage estimates are available at this time.
