Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on College Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 10:57 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a vacant house in the 300 block of College Avenue.

Upon arrival on scene crews encountered heavy smoke coming from the house and launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 11:39 a.m.

Crews completed a search of the structure and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

No damage estimates are available. The cause of this fire, as well as the two fires on College Avenue from earlier this morning, remain under investigation. All three are considered suspicious.
