Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Langside Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 2:38 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in an unoccupied, two-storey house in the 500 block of Langside Street.

When crews arrived on-scene, they encountered smoke coming from the house. They launched an offensive attack, declaring the fire under control at 3:34 p.m. A fire watch was established to help prevent re-ignition.

A search of the building was completed and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The house sustained significant fire, water and smoke damage. There was no damage to neighbouring properties. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
