Motor Vehicle/Pedestrian Collision – Investigation: C24-85391

On April 18, at approximately 7:15 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service was alerted to the report of a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the 1000 block of Henderson Highway.

Attending members of the Traffic Division were advised by members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service that the pedestrian had been transported to hospital in critical condition.

Traffic Division investigators have identified the pedestrian as a  33-year-old female from Winnipeg. She remains in hospital in serious condition.

Through their investigation, the Traffic Collision Investigation Unit determined the pedestrian had walked in front of the northbound tractor-trailer when she was struck. The tractor-trailer collided with the pedestrian, resulting in serious injuries. The driver and lone occupant of the involved tractor-trailer remained on scene and spoke with investigating officers.

Anyone with information, including video or dash camera video footage regarding this incident, is asked to contact Traffic Division investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 (TIPS) or online at winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
