City Council voting data now available in open data

Voting data from City Council meetings is now publicly available on our Open Data Portal.

Council approved the initiative last month, which added voting data dating to back to the January 2021 meeting. Users are able to filter data by meeting date, Council term, and member.

We introduced the Vote Information System last year with data from Executive Policy Committee meetings added by way of electronic vote. While electronic voting will continue to be used at those meetings, Council meetings will use standing votes, which will then be manually recorded in the database.

Vote record data will be available once meeting minutes have been finalized and published on the Decision Making Information System (DMIS).
