Homicides – Investigation: C19-26435

On February 6, 2019, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a shooting at a restaurant located in the 100 block of Main St. Two adult males were located at the premise suffering from serious gunshot wounds. The males were transported to hospital in serious condition by Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services. Both males died as a result of their injuries.

The investigation has determined the deceased males died as a result of simultaneous gunshots to each other. Both handguns have been recovered. A staff member of the restaurant sustained a non-life-threatening firearm-related injury during the incident. She was conveyed to hospital where she was treated and released.

The deceased males have been identified as:

  • Anthony Brian CROMASTEY, 30
  • Rodney Albert KIRTON, 25

Directly after the shooting a  third male at the scene assaulted Kirton. He has been charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm. He is identified as:

  • Braedon Lee GORDON, 18

Gordon has been detained in custody.

Homicide – Update: C19-5928

As previously released: Juhyun Park was charged on January 9, 2019, with Manslaughter in the death of Eunjee Kim.

Park has been re-arrested and charges have been upgraded to First Degree Murder.

Park remains in custody.

On January 12, 2019 the Winnipeg Police Service reported the following:

On January 9, 2019, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Winnipeg Police General Patrol Officers responded to a report of a domestic incident in progress at a residence in the 500 block of Daer Boulevard.

Responding officers located a 41-year-old unconscious female. She was transported to hospital, but was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Eunjee Kim, a 41-year-old female of Winnipeg.

A 44-year-old male from the same residence was arrested at the scene. He was taken to hospital for treatment of an injury where he was treated and released.

 Juhyun Park, a 44-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

 - Manslaughter

He was detained in custody.
