Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision: C19-59697
On March 20, 2019, at approximately 3:00 p.m. emergency services personnel responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Osborne St. at Morley Ave.
The 41-year-old male victim was crossing Osborne St. when he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection.
The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition and has since succumbed to his injuries.
Officers from the Winnipeg Police Traffic Division are continuing with this investigation. They are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or that may have information that could assist in the investigation to contact the Traffic Division at 204-986-7085.
Fatal Motor Vehcile Collision – Arrest: C18-115849
Officers from the Winnipeg Police Traffic Division have made an arrest in a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred June 2, 2018 at the intersection of Portage Ave. and Home St.
A 44-year-old male from Steinbach, Mb, was arrested on March 23, 2019, will be charged with the following offences:
- CC 252(1.3) Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Involving Death
- CC 259(4) Drive While Disqualified
- HTA 173(1)(a) Drive Without Licence
- HTA 225(1) Drive Suspended

Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision: C18-115849 Public Assistance Requested
On June 2, 2018, at approximately 2:15 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to the intersection of Portage Ave. and Home St. for a serious motor vehicle collision.
A westbound motorcycle on Portage Ave. collided with a van travelling north on Home St. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital in critical condition; however he has since succumbed to his injuries. The unidentified driver of the van and a passenger fled the area on foot. A number of people came forward and offered assistance to the driver of the motorcycle.
Police are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have information concerning the incident contact traffic investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
