Serious Assault – Arrest: C19-100592

On May 8, 2019, at approximately 5:10 p.m. Winnipeg Police Central District General Patrol Units responded to a report of a male who had been stabbed in the area of Olivia Street and McDermot Avenue. Responding officers located a male victim in his 20’s and immediately began administering first aid. He was transported to hospital in critical condition where his condition has since been upgraded to critical/stable.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. investigators from the Major Crimes Unit arrested a suspect in the area.

Jamie Jason James SUGGASHIE, 29, of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

Suggshie was detained in custody.
