Break & Enter – Investigation: C19-105225
On May 13, 2019, at approximately 5:45 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of a break-in to a residence in the Grassie area. A caller reported that the interior of the house had been spray painted and that their dog had been injured.
Upon arrival, officers observed some of the graffiti in the home to contain hate-related messages. The dog was transported to an animal hospital for treatment.
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
Aggravated Assault – Investigation: C19-106447
On May 13, 2019, at approximately 11:00 p.m., an East District General Patrol unit was flagged down in the 100 block of Henry Avenue for the report of a male that had been stabbed.
Officers located the male in his 20’s suffering from significant stab wound injuries and began providing medical treatment. The male was transported to hospital in critical condition where he remains at this time.
