Homicide – Investigation: C19-57432
On May 26, 2019, at approximately 9:20 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to a report of several people fighting and one person seriously injured in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue. A male victim was located and transported to hospital in critical condition. He has since died as a result of his injuries.
This incident is being investigated by members of the Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit. Police are asking anyone that may have information that could assist to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
Drugs – Arrests: C19-114212
On May 26, 2019, at approximately 12:53 a.m., Central District officers attended to an address in the 400 block of Cumberland Street in an attempt to locate a male with an outstanding warrant. Officers located the suspect inside an open suite sitting in front of what appeared to be drugs and a drug scale.
The male was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant and searched. He was found to be in possession of a small scale, a baggy containing approximately 17 grams of methamphetamine; two baggies containing approximately 84 grams of methamphetamine, and approximately $104.00 Canadian currency.
Signs of drug trafficking were observed in the suite. As such, officers applied for a CDSA search warrant.
At approximately 8:40 a.m., officers executed the search warrant, and the following items were seized:
- Approximately 126 grams of methamphetamine
- A large quantity of dime bags
- Two drug scales
- Two cell phones
- Dime bag containing cocaine
The total street value of methamphetamine seized is approximately $9,850.00.
Robert Taylor HENDERSON, a 28-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance, Methamphetamine, for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possess Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.
He has been detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
