Homicide – Update: C19-115875
On May 25, 2019, at approximately 2:45 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of an injured person at a residence in the 400 block of Simcoe Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to hospital in critical condition and later pronounced deceased. She has been identified as Shaylnne Marie Hunter, a 25-year-old female of Winnipeg.
On May 28, 2019, after identifying the suspects, Winnipeg Police Homicide investigators arrested two adult females.
Diane Tamara KING, an 18-year-old female of Winnipeg and Tasha LAQUETTE, a 22-year-old female of Winnipeg, have been charged with Second Degree Murder. Both have been detained in custody.
