Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – Update: C19125447
On June 4, 2019, at approx. 1:45 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the intersection of Higgins Avenue and King Street for the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel located the cyclist deceased. The cyclist was a female in her 50’s. No further information will be released at this time.
Homicide Investigation – Update: C19-117274
As previously released:
On May 26, 2019, at approximately 9:20 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to a report of several people fighting and one person seriously injured in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue. A male victim was located and transported to hospital in critical condition. He has since died as a result of his injuries.
The victim in this homicide has now been identified as Dorian Glenn SANDERSON, 17. Sanderson died as a result of a gunshot wound.
On June 4, 2019, homicide detectives arrested a 15-year-old male in this incident. He has been charged with Second Degree Murder and detained in custody.
On May 26, 2019, a second male youth, also 15, had been arrested in relation to this incident. He was charged with Assault.
Homicide Investigation – Update: C19-115446
On May 25, 2019, Winnipeg Police released the following information:
On May 24, 2019, at approximately 5:20 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the 900 block of Greencrest Avenue for the report of suspicious circumstances.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male.
The deceased victim has now been identified as Pedram ROSHAEIAN, 26. He died as a result of a gunshot wound.
Investigators are looking to establish details regarding Roshaeian’s activities and whereabouts in the days preceding his murder. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
Suspicious Death Update – Homicide Investigation: C19-123267
On June 3, 2019, Winnipeg Police released the following information:
On June 1, 2019, at approximately 10:50 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service and Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a residence in the 500 block of Manitoba Avenue for reports of a fire.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel encountered heavy flames and smoke from within the residence. Two occupants of the residence had self-evacuated from the residence prior to emergency personnel arrival. One occupant was assessed by paramedics and was transported to hospital in stable condition. A deceased male in his 60’s was located inside the residence.
The victim has now been identified as Hubert Wilson McKAY, 63.
This incident is now being investigated as a homicide. Detectives are asking that anyone with information that may be of assistance to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
