Homicide – Investigation: C19-123494
On Sunday, June 2, Wnnipeg Police released the initial details of the murder of Justin Silicz, 32. Justin was in the company of two other adults at approximately 4:30 a.m. on June 2 when they became involved in an altercation with three males in the area of Arlington St. and McDermot Ave. The altercation escalated as the groups moved on to Winnipeg Ave. between Arlington Ave. and Tecumseh St. As a result of this altercation Justin suffered serious injuries that caused his death.
The suspects are described as:
Investigators are asking both residents and businesses in the area to check any security systems for any possible video. As well, anyone having information about people or activity in the area during this time is asked to call in.
This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477) if they wish to remain anonymous.
