Homicide – Investigation: C19-117274
On May 26, 2019, at approximately 9:20 p.m., emergency services personnel responded to a report of several people fighting and one person seriously injured in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue. The victim, Dorian Glenn Sanderson, 17, was located and transported to hospital in critical condition. He later died as a result of a gunshot wound.
On May 26, 2019, a 15-year-old male was arrested and charged with Assault.
On June 4, 2019, homicide detectives arrested a second 15-year-old male and charged him with Second Degree Murder.
On July 4, 2019, the first 15-year-old male was re-arrest and charged with Second Degree Murder. He remains in custody.
Homicide Investigation – Update: C19-139485
Winnipeg Police Homicide detectives continue with their investigation into the murder of Gabriel Coates, 44. He had been killed and his body located in a park located on June 19, 2019, in a park near Higgins Avenue and Maple Street.
Investigators have located video of individuals who may have relevant information regarding this homicide. Stills from this video are shown below.

MISSING PERSON – BARBARA PAUL: R19-40339
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old female, Barbara PAUL.
PAUL was last seen on Sunday, June 23, 2019 in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
PAUL is described as Indigenous, 5’5” in height, 150lbs, medium build, with medium length curly auburn hair and brown eyes. PAUL was last seen wearing grey sweats, black and grey hooded sweater, black runners and had a black, grey and pink backpack.
Police are concerned for PAUL’s well-being and are asking anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 986-6250.
