Break and Enter — Arrest: C19-206545
On September 3, 2019, at approximately 1:40 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of two males fighting in the 3000 block of Pembina Highway.
The suspect was found with a can of bear spray and a bottle of medication belonging to the victim. He was transported to hospital for treatment due to his level of intoxication.
The victim was treated for the effects of bear spray at the scene.
Officers learned the suspect entered a parked vehicle on Almondel Key and stole various items, including a garage door opener. He used the opener to access a garage in the immediate area. Upon hearing a noise the garage, the homeowner attended and confronted the suspect who fled on foot.
The homeowner chased the suspect to a business on Pembina Hwy and was sprayed with bear spray during the chase.
Trent James Clifford FRASER, a 19-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:
- Break, Enter & Commit Offence
- Assault with a Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
- Theft Under $5000
- Mischief Under $5000/Obstruct in Enjoyment
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance
He has been detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
Drugs — Arrests: C19-206097
On September 2, 2019, at approximately 1:15 p.m., members of the Guns and Gangs unit observed a person of interest operating a vehicle in the 300 block of Simcoe Street. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle; however, the driver sped off at a high rate of speed.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a light standard at St. Matthews Avenue and Simcoe Street. The driver and his male passenger fled on foot. The driver ran into a yard and scaled a house to the roof. He attempted to evade police by jumping to an adjacent rooftop; however, he fell to the ground and was taken into custody. He was found to have 20 gram of Heroin/Fentanyl and $75.00 Canadian on his person. He was escorted to the hospital and treated for his injuries.
The passenger of the vehicle ran to a home on Simcoe Street where he was arrested by Tactical Support Team members. While clearing the residence officers located a third male and .45 calibre ammunition.
A search warrant was applied for and granted. During the search, officers seized one bag containing 5 grams of methamphetamine, one bag containing 13 grams of methamphetamine, 6 rounds of .45 calibre ammunition, one shotgun shell, an two digital scales.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 34 grams of cocaine.

- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance While Prohibited by Order Under Criminal Code
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge
- Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
- Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Heroin
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
Mitchell Grant David GIASSON, a 25-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:
- Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order X2
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
Jessie Michael NAGAM, a 24-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:
- Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
