Robbery – Public Assistance Requested: C19-200156
On August 26, 2019, at approximately 7:50 a.m., a 39-year-old male was walking in the 500 block of Portage Avenue when he was approached from behind by a male who attempted to rob him of his wallet.
The male then brandished a large knife and ran up to the victim in a threatening manner. The victim was pushed up against a wall at which time a struggle ensued, and the male fled on foot. No injuries were reported, and the victim did not lose any property.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation and are requesting the public’s help with identifying a suspect. The suspect is described as an Indigenous male in appearance, in his 20’s, approximately 5’10” in height, with a skinny build and black hair. He was wearing a black hoodie, dark blue pants and a black hat.
