Homicide – Investigation: C19-253306
On October 26, 2019, at 10:45 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 100 block of Kinver Avenue. Upon arrival officers located two female victims, a 14-year-old and an 18-year-old. Both victims were transported to hospital in critical condition. The 14-year-old succumbed to her injuries. The 18-year-old victim remains in hospital having been upgraded to stable condition.

Homicide – Investigation: C19-253440
On October 27, 2019, at 2:30 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a Medic call where two males were reported down in the rear lane of Ross Avenue at Isabel Street. Officers located two adult males suffering from serious upper-body injuries.
Both victims were transported to hospital in critical condition, however, both have since succumbed to their injuries.

Shooting – Investigation: C19-253725
On October 27, 2019, at 3:15 p.m., Winnipeg Police General Patrol and Tactical Support Team units responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Flora Ave. Early information was that a suspect male had entered the door of a single-family residence on that block and fired a shotgun into the residence before fleeing the area.
The shot struck four victims inside the house, three adults and an infant. All four were conveyed to hospital by ambulance. The three adults are now in stable condition. The infant’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, however an updated status is not available at this time.

The tragic incidents that have taken place within the City over the past 18 hours have placed a significant strain on Winnipeg Police Service resources. We will continue to triage all calls for service and prioritize personal and public safety over property concerns and incidents where there is no immediate threat.
