Calls for Service Map
Following our 2015 - 2019 Strategic Plan, the Winnipeg Police Service aims to make timely information regarding the services we deliver available to the public. Providing this information increases awareness, understanding, transparency, and accountability.
Today the Service is releasing an online Calls For Service Map. The new map addresses the three-month delay required to release verified crime information found in CrimeMaps.
The Calls for Service Map includes safety and crime which presents a wider view safety concerns identified throughout the city, communities, and neighborhoods. Examples of non-criminal events are wellbeing checks, danger or disturbances, traffic, and intoxicated person events.
The Calls for Service Map provides similar functions found in CrimeMaps by enabling searching by areas throughout the city, safety/crime type, and subtype. The information captures ten weeks of information and is updated every Monday.
People can visit the Calls for Service Mapon the Winnipeg Police Service website.
