Homicide – Arrest Update: C20-7192

On January 10, 2020, at approximately 6:13 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the Worthington neighbourhood for a report of suspicious circumstances.

Soon after, officers located an injured adult female at a residence in the first 100 block of Hindley Avenue. The female was transported to hospital in critical condition where she was pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as Reagan Danielle GROSS, 49.

Kodey Lionel TRUDEAU, 34, of Winnipeg, has been charged with Second Degree Murder. He has been detained in custody.

Homicide – Update: C20-8144

On January 12, 2020, at approximately 2:53 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of shots that had been fired in the 100 block of Garry Street.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel located three injured males. All three were taken to hospital in critical condition. One male has since succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased victim has been identified as Yassin Abdu Ahmed, 20.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
