Missing Person - Kingsley GREYEYES: R200006978 - Located
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating 12-year-old Kingsley GREYEYES. GREYEYES was last seen on Sunday February 9th 2020 in the north end area of Winnipeg.
GREYEYES is described as Indigenous, 5’6”, 115lbs, small build, brown hair, brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an FXR jacket, top half white, and the bottom half black and black Adidas pants with white stripes, and grey and orange Nike shoes.
The Winnipeg Police Service is concerned for GREYEYES’ wellbeing and is asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250 or Crimestoppers.
Homicide – Arrest: C20-32100
On February 11, 2020, at approximately 7:38 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the first 100 block of Middle Gate for a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male with stab wound injuries. The deceased was later identified as Michael Bruyere, a 34-year-old male of Winnipeg.
Members of the Homicide Unit continued with the investigation.
At approximately 4:23 p.m., a male suspect was taken into custody outside of a convenience store in the 600 block of McPhillips Street.
Investigators believe that the victim and suspect, who were known to each other, had been at the Middle Gate residence during the early hours of the morning at which time a dispute occurred, and the victim was stabbed.
Jordan James Bonwick, a 26-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:
- Second Degree Murder
He was detained in custody.
Assault with a Weapon – Investigation: C20-32647
Released earlier today:
On February 11, 2020, at approximately 6:54 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a grocery store in the 800 block of Keewatin Street in regards to the report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located two injured 16-year-old males. Both were transported to hospital in critical condition and have since been upgraded to stable condition. A third 16-year-old male attended to the hospital on his own with stab wound injuries and has since been upgraded to stable condition.
Preliminary investigation indicates that an altercation occurred amongst several males, at which time pepper spray was discharged, and the three males were stabbed.
Update:
Major Crimes Unit investigators are hoping to speak with any customers or employees that may have witnessed the altercation inside the Tyndall Square Safeway at 850 Keewatin Street.
