Homicide – Investigation: C20-61616

On March 19, 2020, at approximately 5:25 a.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a taxi cab driver in distress. The cab was stopped in the roadway in the 500 block of Burrows Avenue. Responding officers located the driver of the cab who had been seriously assaulted. He was conveyed to hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
